About the Author

Sadaqa Calhoun-Redus is a seasoned non-traditional, holistic, health and wellness professional and a practicing Independent Reiki Master/Teacher specializing in “energy based” natural healing

methodologies that treat the “whole” person – mind, body and spirit. Reiki, Quantum Touch, Reflexology, Polarity and Meditation are a few of the modalities she focuses on. As an entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in fitness, various energy techniques, and alternative health disciplines, Sadaqa has long had a passion for helping others, which began professionally in her career as a nursing assistant. She decided early on in her nursing career that

instead of helping people transition from this life to the next, she would instead help them improve and maintain their lives by teaching them how to incorporate better ongoing fitness, health and wellness practices.

Today, Sadaqa, through her latest entrepreneurial effort called Asè is focused on showing men, women, and children how to tune into and balance their body’s energy systems (known as

Chakras). She teaches her clients how the amazing physiques that they live in have the power to heal themselves.

Sadaqa is a graduate of The American Institute of Holistic Theology where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Holistic Ministries and maintains a number of certifications across

various health, wellness, and energy modalities.

She’s passionate about reducing healthcare disparities, childhood obesity, and other chronic health

challenges often associated with poor health choices and lifestyles.

Sadaqa is married to Darrin M. Redus, Sr. and enjoys spending time with their six children and five grandchildren. She currently lives in Cincinnati, OH
